Looking south towards Wakefield...20190804_184513.thumb.jpg.8662f8b67c40707e106b88b12243ebe3.jpg  And looking southwest towards the south side of Leeds, a very nice tower shooting upwards. Expect this to form a shower soon close to Leeds...20190804_184637.thumb.jpg.bcfa178a12ef8337eba9163626709bab.jpg20190804_184637.thumb.jpg.559dc55f2ab38eeb1cd37594c46db6e4.jpg

Storm clearing now sadly no more to follow by the looks of things. Thunder getting louder a sit moves away no doubt due to atmospheric conditions.

Looking to the north of me we were lucky not to miss out again.

The only water that's going to fall where I am, are my tears ;_;

Passed by me completely, any hope of anything more building to the west, or is that it for the day?

Saw several flashes of lightning some loud booms of Thunder with what sounded like constant rumbles of Thunder to my south west from Dronfield.

Had a few very brief torrential bursts of rain that lasted all of 30 seconds.

CC lightning just then with a very deep rumble. Actually made me jump a bit.

Huge flash and shotgun thunder then a long with a spattering of raindrops so big they look like sleet!

Plenty of CC lightning to the NW now as the cell has intensified over Penistone. Hope @Supacell stayed there! Got a nice view here as it crackles away. Some backbuilding going on.

Well I went outside to look at the clouds building and got more than I expected with intense downpours and hail mixed in, coming down on the wind at a 45 degree angle. There was near constant thunder as it approached but lightning was only visible during/after the heaviest rain. Quite impressive for this area nonetheless.

That cell is looking brutal as it passes Garforth, heading to york. I can hear thunder from at least 3 directions to the west and south west. Probably missing me in East York though.

It must have missed me by a matter of metres! Hardly any rain at all but plenty of thunder.
