Has anybody bought this to replace the see-saw tipper on the Pro2?

I see it's available in the UK, now. It's far more accurate due to electronically tipping by measuring weight.

I might buy one, although it's rather expensive for such a small item (typical Davis)

Yes, I noticed them on weatherspares, a bit steep but might take the plunge in a couple of weeks. Before use the original see-saw tipper on mine was 22% out, so this should hopefully be an improvement.

Once calibrated the original isn't too bad in the UK as rain is rarely heavy enough to overwhelm it. I do like an upgrade though

Same.

It looks fairly straightforward to remove the old one and put the new one in. I'll probably purchase it on Monday and give it a go. That'll probably mean that no rain will fall until we get to Autumn lol

I see weatherspares had them at £55 but sold out now and scaled instruments in the US say backorder.
My tip bucket needs about 20% adding

I haven't seen them out of stock? They're still in stock.
