Hi folks i know this is not the winter thread but here is gavsweathervids first seasonal model round up for winter 2019 2020 and for those of who wants a cold winter it does not make a plesent viewing.  I'm not too worried yet though it is still September after all. Here is the link for those of you want to take a look. https://youtu.be/XfBuZvxIr14

Scrap winter then for me. I will be wishing for next April and summer ASAP. A mild winter is useless.

Autumn' coming at us fast now. Conkers all over the roads, crunching over a carpet of crab apples on the village roads, best hawthorn crop for years, sloes & damsons in abundance, a smell of woodsmoke in the air

Can't wait for the cold snap this week, couls ee 0c !!

I’m praying for an early cold spell to hammer us in late October or early November. I want a 1984/85 style winter.

Accidentally left a straight coffee cup on the garden table yesterday afternoon. It had over 30mm of rain in it when I brought it in. I had no idea it had rained that much. As a bonus, we did not make 13C today.

Not sure if it's on topic for this thread but I thought it would be of general interest.  It's still September so just - WOW!  As of 9pm yesterday Browning had 48 inches and still snowing. Some interesting pics. Seasonal snow records broken and seasonal temperature records expected to go after.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7521531/Historic-winter-storm-dumps-40-INCHES-snow-Montana.html

And I'm moaning due to a couple of cool days and a fair bit of rain! (We're up to around 75mm in the last week now, though I gather that is not much compared to some.)

I worry its just going to be a washout Oct...

Even here in the east it has been vile. Since the evening of the 22nd September we've had 99.2mm so far.

This month is now on 107.0mm, making it the wettest here since 1993. Hard to believe the first 21 days had just 7.8mm!

I was born in the November before that winter - My Mum said it was a very cold one. She has a photo of me around nine weeks old with her holding me in the snow.

This poor weather has been only the last few days. It hasn't been too bad for most of the time.

This was the 21st

October starting where September left off with prolonged rain

September finished off with 120.4mm here we're already on 11.2mm for October and it's not even 10 hours old yet.

Tomorrow & Thursday look better with more in the way of sunshine then the end of the week probably more rain though uncertainties still on Lorenzo's track

Worst period of weather all year imo. Heating has been on for the last few days.
