Almost constant lightning to my south and now, just about, distant thunder.

The heat is unreal. Lawn has stayed completely dry.

accuweather seems to think Reading will get rain in around 2 hours so i guess thats when we might get some action.

Yep near constant flashes, it’s brilliant! As you say not overhead, so thunder is just a quiet near constant grumble in the distance, looks like the bottom of the cell may well come overhead

Just saw the most spectacular c-c lightning on the warrior cam!

Appears to have fine berserk on radar across Exeter.

Here, there’s this weird unending whispering sound despite zero wind (can see leaves as still as a freeze-frame). Aircraft are only occasional in these parts, and I’m a long way from the nearest main road, so it’s not likely to be those.
