This cell is the one to watch for the far North, more active than the rest and has a huge purple core on radar, possibly indicating large hail.

Looks very severe on radar and a definite shift right on the last few updates.

I'm hoping it turns east more before hand so I can get in on the action - purely from a selfish POV lol

I’m both optimistic and concerned here.

If you look at the sat you can see the kind of line from the north west clump, south east clump and one further in France.

Now if they stay clumped along the axis then we here may get nothing but equally we could see convection develop roughly in a line between them.

Without a blow up it looks like we here in Yorkshire probably have an hour or two to wait.

I've been wondering this too. Kinda want a storm so the winds air out the house!

Well its currently over the absolute middle of nowhere, so unfortunately we are not going to get any updates on ground conditions.

But the structure is beginning to take shape on radar nicely, its an absolute beauty infact, look at that inflow!

Sky out to my west is dark and you can see towers all over from that storm and I'm miles away from it!

Some random sferics picked up west along the coast towards iow and weymourh. Certainly cant rule out something that way.

I'm sure I'm hearing rumbles from the towers that are going up to my south. I have that stormy feeling - goosebumps and a headache! Spent three hours in the gym keeping cool haha!

Really does look like a pearler. Discreet too, with just that storm having all the juice to itself! There’ll be some big hail in there I would imagine. Maybe even a small mesocyclone!

Anyone else noticed the Belgian storms seem to be heading in a westerly direction lol, and the main clump in the channel has a NNW element to it now. Good signs!

There is bound to be wind damage; this may be the strongest convection wind I’ve ever experienced. 65mph ish? Lightning is infrequent but coming in CGs, white and orange. Truly crazy.
