Seen about 7 flashes of lightning from 2 different cells over the Midlands and heard some rumbles, no decent rain though, just the occasional convective drops from being on the edge of these cells. Glad to part of a thundery albeit small thundery breakdown of this plume.

What is refreshing is that i am sat out in the back garden witnessing loads of flashes and the odd CG to my south/southwest knowing that a storm is coming, reminds me off a couple of nights ago.

Just noticed a new line beginning to form over Worcester.  Got a feeling that ones just going to clip us in Stoke though, like this ones doing.  Got a feeling the back edge of the trough is just past us now

The cell near Bradford flew past. Saw lots of lightning, barely heard any thunder at all. Most of the lightning was just distant flashes, but there was one beautiful 'horseshoe' cloud to cloud that definitely made it worth staying up for. The copper chopper literally had a birds eye view the storm. Jealous!

I would say yes, they seem to be staying in line with the jetstream, take note the jetstream is moving west inland but the winds from the jetstream will start heading NNW.

Can see those flashes from the storm heading towards derby! Looks like a good one to me. Fairly frequent!

The lvl 2 happened hours ago, it started in the District then made its way to Scotland.

This is for now,, if we're lucky Estofex

Across Wales and England, more storms are forecast ahead of the approaching cold front. Although boundary layer capping will be larger compared to the northern British Isles, strong vertical wind shear may support some supercells as well, capable of large hail. Clustering of these storms may result in some eastward propagation later on with chances of large hail in parts of England later on.

If only the supercells would happen. Especially with the one near derbt but doubt it
