Nice.. looks like you have a queue of them on their way to you

Few more developing off the S coast a tad west of the previous ones, so may head towards Bristol directly?

The storms west of Paris are moving in a NW/NNW direction...would expect arrival until we’ll into early hours anyway but if something can fire ahead then happy days.

Given the limited activity further west I’m not hopeful.

We do however have a window (in the SE of about 2-3 hours before the high instability retreats NE).

Where are you now?

I didn’t realise the entire south coast stops eating food at 10pm  So hungry!

Eastbourne 40 mins away. I might Head back a bit as radar is looking not bad.

That’s my little bit of fun for tonight so far! Watching random showers come out of nowhere

Yh that shocked me, wasn’t expecting that to suddenly release a load of rain in 2 minutes. At least I’m getting some rain though

Unfortunately it died very quickly. Things just cant quite get going.

Evening all.

Very bizarre here at Spurn Point right now! 15 mins ago there was a breeze, pretty cool breeze then within 5 mins it's picked up a lot but it's very very warm, like someone pointing a hairdryer at you yes the heat is unbelievable. I know there is that storm in Norfolk currently but could the sudden temp and wind increase be ahead of the system? Never experienced this before.

Regards Glenn

I’m hoping that those channel showers have some life in them at least

Not sure whether to make a move and follow these cells into Gloucester or just wait to see if things explode like Tuesday..

Huge uptick in precip running through the channel covering east IOW in a straight line to France. Only took 30 mins. Something going on there

Dying out as it reaches the UK!

Not sure I just remember been grrrrrrrrr lol, supercell will maybe remember better he traveled to hartlepool I think

The storms were meant to develop over NE England but instead ended up in East Anglia with frequent lightning and large hail. There was also a lone but intense storm that tracked through Stoke and then the Peak District which brought large hail. This one tracked not far from my home, but I was heading back down the A1 feeling gutted at the time.

We've had a few splashes of rain from the 2nd trough out here further west. We may see something here if something can develop on it before it pushes east. But I think it bodes well for places east of here as I think it will continue to grow and produce.

If it does, it would fit the warning area nicely.

I'm going to keep an eye out just in case here but I think some of you are in for a great night, if you not having one already!

Can't believe how quiet it has gone up north - really dissapointed.  Yes we had that supercell earlier that trundled mainly across open countryside but other than that nothing at all happening.  Even the midlands doesn't look inspiring.  I'm also calling a bust for the midlands north although would love to be proven wrong.

East Anglia and the SE however looks very juicy!

Seems so!

Too many people have been taking thunderstorm forecasts for gospel recently. Especially on Twitter, with terms like “extremely dangerous” “life threatening” “violent” lol. Too much hyping and not enough action! More activity in the SE as usual. We don’t need a model to tell us that do we.

There is a danger that the beast in the east is ‘drinking’ the energy from the plume... I don’t know the correct term but this has happened before.

The stuff over water is clearly elevated, or it would be - quite literally - dead in the water. We need that stuff headed into the North Sea to die-off and let new activity get established further west or it’s looking possible we’ll have nothing to feed new activity over land.

Worrying times

Anyone looked at the IR satellite for the bay of biscay/west coast of France. Seems there could some development/almost an MCS forming but not sure if it’s too little, too late to impact the UK with the cold front edging east.

If you're desperate there's always Posh Nosh in Shoreham

Currently near Steyning, some lovely skyscapes out west right now.

I think it may be a little too far south. What we need is for the same to happen further north on that boundary.
