Can people please read forecasts and not just jump to the random conclusion that for some reason all the energy at all levels of the atmosphere has gone - simply based on a hunch or based on looking at a cloud or a patch of blue sky. This happened Tuesday - and not naming names at all (tbh there’s too many of you!) but you really need to develop a little patience.

Good work FBFB, you've just saved me 20 minutes!!!!

Very windy here at the moment, and very dark. No electrical activity..... yet!

few rumbles of thunder and a cpl of flashes of lightening just to the south of us, just light rain here now

I see some rain nearby on the radar. Hoping for something thats near Norwich tonight which would be awesome or even like what the North had earlier

Why is everyone saying it's all over? Do you all know something I don't?

It was 1am when it kicked off here a couple of nights ago. No thunder/lightning is forecast here until 10pm at the earliest.

I'm still hopeful

The cold front is quickly approaching so not much time left.

All done for now in Dover, even some patches of blue sky, wonder if anything else will turn up later.

Few bits popping up in the channel?

I think/hope there's still time for the main event!

Mostly went East, went down to Hastings and was under the Western flank of a storm there, got to watch some nice lightning, (also noteworthy was the massive temp difference over just a few miles, much hotter in Hastings) but back home in Hailsham, nothing but a few rumbles and a drop of rain.
Still holding out hope for later though.

I'm now wondering how I will get some sleep tonight. No breeze hotter outside still than inside by a couple of degrees. Pity the late afternoon storms took a nap may have cooled it down a bit. Looks like I'll staying awake anyways so doesn't matter if it's bust for me or not.

I’m staying put. Can still see a couple of flashes over the channel. Not enough to warrant the camera at present. Sitting at 23.5 in the car.

Looks like Norwich is in for an interesting evening to say the least...

Seems to too far east for the storms to hit Hull and I expect them to head for the North Sea, given the area with the cap broken will slowly be heading east. Perhaps that trough over western England will fire up as it moves east... we will see

Not been a bad week for storms in East Anglia

I was waiting to see if the stuff forming over the IOW was just radar clutter but its been pretty persistent over the last few frames.

I was under the yellow on the radar for quite a while but barely got any rain. The wind was crazy though. Easily 50mph plus
