Sky was full of Accas until about half hour ago. Clear now and looks stable. Good luck to everyone east and people in the north east get your bloody cameras out!

I reckon that could break off and basically follow the line of the M74 towards Glasgow. It seems to be trying anyway.

Don’t crush my dreams haha. Going to head into the centre of town and try catch it over the castle in anticipation!

Still some hope though - it's not every day you see a possible supercell march across the North East!  Fingers crossed for some initiation further east now as the evening wears on..

Radar looking a little better, the showers moving north are approaching Yorkshire still and are a bit stronger than earlier. Still waiting on anything more than sporadic.

After a thouroughly miserable storm season where I've manged to miss every single main event with me summing up my action so far as 8 barely audible cloud farts, one flash of sheet lightning and one flash of ball lightning (the highlight for me - shows how bad the rest of it's been) I just got a small storm an hour ago. The bulk of it missed me (no surprise there) but I did see my first cg strike of the year from the cell that tracked parallel to my west from south to north. Nice visible rain core on the northern leading edge. Didn't see any other strikes but had quite a few quiet rumbles.?

Really hoping for some proper, full blown elevated stuff tonight. This seasons been the absolute worst for me, even worse than 2016.. Hoping the curse has been lifted and that we get some nice storms as a reward for suffering these unbearable temperatures all week. Can't wait for cooler weather now. Good luck for this evening everyone.

Been rumbling around for an hour or so now. Nothing really close and only had sporadic periods of convective rain which dry up as soon as it stops.

Moving about between camber and dungeness.

Very strong winds right now, must be close to 50mph.

I'm in eastbourne. We are on the western edge of it. We have had thunder and lightning and a couple of bursts of heavy rain but it's not that good here.
