Well in theory that’s correct and it’s why I’m optimistic but it is how long it takes and to what degree.

Looking at the thread on Tuesday the sat is similar to about midnight.

Radar suggests we should get a crop from about 8pm, the question is whether they develop much.

Cheers S B

I'm so tempted to get in the car and intercept that beast...

It's an absolute beaut - honestly it's heading east as per what they do just hope I can get in on the action but one things for sure Tyne and Wear / Northumberland is in for a pasting somewhere within the region.

I can hear the thunder from it way in the distance.

Hexham looks right in the firing line.

Yeah me to almost constant must be a hell of a storm that, more forming to the south of it Northumberland looking the place to be at the moment.  Hexham about to take a direct hit

Another cell has spawned south of the main storm in the far north just over Barnard Castle area.

I’m just leaving work now (grrrr!!). I saw an amazing three forked CG over S London about 30 mins ago and I see on blitzortung there’s a storm literally over my house...BUT I’M ON A BOILING TRAIN AND NOT THERE!!!

I’m hoping really hard that the batch of storms over France come my way and that the activity sparking off now won’t sap all the energy

Looks like the cell over Northumberland has adopted a slightly easterly track, looks like we’ll miss it here ??

Well that storm has passed and is growing in size as it tracks NNE, It pretty much started from nothing a few miles south of me, hoping the next batch may come from the precip that's west of Reading and may be a bit more developed if it comes to something from what it is right now.

Frequent thunder and lightning from what's hitting the southeast currently. Some really gusty winds along with it too, I'd guess 30-40mph. Managed to capture this cg 20190725182754_LC15.thumb.jpg.6c420bf5f200f88fa65bd9a800532aaf.jpg
