Rain stopped, lots of dark broken clouds coming up from South. Very fast moving.

View to directly North of me taken from living room (minding grandson)

Meto video forecast has me right on the edge later - I do genuinely feel I will be too far west, but pretty much everyone got it wrong on Tuesday so we shall see.

Praying with you from Winch my dear!

Looks like East Sussex is gonna get a nice little storm soon!

Lucky lot!

If only it were heading north west!

Sun and cloud here very hot, would love a storm today with lots of rain, veggie garden needs it. Tuesday's storm was great but hardly any rain. Don't think we are in the firing line today. I am new to this could someone explain to me what a cap is without being to technical please.

Clouding over where I am south of London, few spots of rain and temperature has dropped significantly by nearly 3 degrees!

Anyways just a heads up from my area of the woods. The cold front is more windier than I thought, a total covering of low to middle lvl clouds.

I'm just waiting on an update for temps.

I was prob a bit alarmist there. Looks like a rain curtain but had a waterspout appearance . I guess 20 miles or so?

Unbelievable here - the wind is like a sauna and a few drops of rain in the air!

Layers of air. The cap is high pressure which impedes the upwards development of clouds, as moist air can’t move any further without some kind of additional mechanical lift. Usually forcing from beneath (by way of an approaching cold front) will give it the additional upwards motion and once it’s clear of the cap (or the cap gradually weakens) we see explosive development as the air finds its way upwards and condenses en masse

Maybe more in the direction of Brighton. I might even stop at Box Hill for an ice cream and just wait there
