Met Office has things going bang at 4pm.

The trip to B`ham airport to pick my brother up, arriving at  16 .50 from Amsterdam will be interesting

Some interesting convective cloudscapes to my SW down towards Herefordshire and Powys.  Looks like the beginning of a cell developing near Knighton.

Meto video forecast has me right on the edge later - I do genuinely feel I will be too far west, but pretty much everyone got it wrong on Tuesday so we shall see.

If storms fire around Jersey then I think i'm in with a real shot. To be fair i'm hoping an elevated supercell erupts to my south west slightly and trickles past me to the north east. That would be sublime.

Could there be a repeat of 13th September 2016 for northern parts I wonder. Heat to the southeast, trough to the west and BANG! Incredible storms through the Peak District into N England. Similar story July 1st 2015 but just a bit further west on that occasion, the date of the July record we will smash today.

It wasn’t there when I looked!  Very rapid development.  Will enjoy just watching the sky in this weather.  30 degrees here.

Well, not sure what cells will make their way to Torquay, but I wait in hope. I only wish I had a car at the moment, because I'd definitely be doing some chasing later.

Guessing the cap is too strong for these cells to develop?

AcCas field recently formed I’ve London! Good sign! I’m just hoping something develops and it’s not when I’m trying to get home.

Popping up and fizzling out as we speak....might get a few cells before a hellish trip to the airport

Gonna be interesting to see what actually happens later as the UKV doesn't show much action after 7pm.

I can see some development to the SE from me now \o/  also some small thin wispy patchy stuff beginning to start overhead  (only noticed when the sun dimmed slightly )

I am car-less too. Will be sat in Bradford forced to face North and hope for the best. There are some intense blips over Yorkshire on the GFS charts for 6pm-ish, and I would love to be chasing. Will make do with a G+T and my fingers crossed.

Here's the garbage that might keep records in tact...

Certainly doesn't feel stormy anymore in Worthing!

Well well well - I really hope this comes off - all forecasts point to severe weather incoming just need it to initiate.  I am literally soaked to the bone in this tropical heat so any break in this is welcome.  I'm not used to these temps up here in the NE and really struggling with it now.  Bring on the storms fingers and toes crossed!
