That'll be the York's cell like mullet said. Same here, stars above and lightning to the north lol. Enjoy!

If this is what elevated storms are like imagine if we get what the South has

Can see distant but frequent flashes looking south from up here in Oxfordshire...and a constant distant rumbling like planes. Weird! Should get good later on!

Just north of Winchester and the sky is flashing like crazy. Time to head west & try to keep ahead of crazy ppn rates! Fantastic viewing!

Huh there are lightning bolts showing just below m25 now so why do you think you won't get much?

The majority of the energy has been slowly transferring NW

Looks like we may get some scraps but the main stuff is heading into the midlands.

I was afraid you'd say that

Standing on Southsea common it's insane!?

On Hayling it’s amazing isn’t it? Non stop lightning from so many directions!

This. Is. Insane.

Intense lightning to my west, south east, and south. Long peals of thunder occasionally, humidity high, not a leaf moving. I'm seeing the off fork in the elevated stuff. No rain yet.

I've seen a few storms in my life. This is already top 3.

Gah the usual split opening up for Bristol   But on the plus side I can see some distant flashes from the storm in Wales and soon from the one near Bath which may drift just to the east.
