Just been out and can see clear flashes East, South and a few to my West, shall get the camera loaded and head out to one of my fields and see what develops.

On radar it seems like the Portsmouth cells have merged into a Multi-Cell Storm, perhaps developing into the forbidden word a Supercell?

It does seem pretty lively, reminds me on the May 2017 thunderstorms over London, crazy non-stop lightning.

I'm in Bucks/Beds border and can see the lightning to the south.

I can hear thunder a bit more over here in Warminster

Tom, enjoy this and let the memories stay with you when you’re wanting the next storm.

Just saw a bright flash of lightning to my North but it looks mostly clear outside!

That'll be the York's cell like mullet said. Same here, stars above and lightning to the north lol. Enjoy!

If anyone EVER says "oh, the east gets all the storms" I will not be responsible for my actions. This could be the year I never leave the NSC

Rainfall rates look like they’re approaching 200mm/hr in South Wales? Intense lightning all over the south now.

The atmosphere is exploding!

It sounds like it is getting closer to Warminster in Wiltshire

Just down the road from you in Westbury. I agree it is with the lightening getting ever more brighter and frequent. Think we’re in for a big storm tonight.

Excrement’s hitting the fan to my south now. Unending lightning and finally a bit more than whispers with it! Also seen one CG. Yep. About a 1 to 5000 ratio to the CC ones ha!

Looks like we may get some scraps but the main stuff is heading into the midlands.

It's clear overhead but standing in my front garden in east Reading, I can see lightning within the cloud from the South, South East and South West, it's quite a sight.

Well someone earlier referred to this evenings storms as being like a loaded gun and my word... that is exactly how this has transpired. The difference between the 10.30 and 10.45 radar is remarkable and at least restores some faith in UK thunderstorms after that late June bust! Now bring those storms to me

Looks like a MCS around IOW-Portsmouth.

Huh there are lightning bolts showing just below m25 now so why do you think you won't get much?
