Leeds is looking really good, meanwhile Ireland just exploded into life again.

Is anyone currently in the Irish storms?

Looks as though they are going to head South of Glasgow eventually - not sure what will be left of them!

The storms are moving ever so slow, the cell in Co.Louth seems to of stalled but there is another growing in Co. Meath.

Interesting comments on UKWW about how two cells in Ireland could merge, temporarily weaken, but then become a much stronger storm - possibly supercellular

No they didn't. They said that a funnel cloud was observed according to a metar.

Ah. That was a new tweet. I just remember seeing the one this morning regarding the funnel cloud. Apologies!

Maybe my speculation had some truth?

Interesting, a new cell has formed in the Irish sea, heads up Scotland...if it survives the trip.

Still waiting on the Met Office's Yellow Warnings for the centre of the UK. Not happening is it? Their reasoning is...weird. Perhaps they are waiting for severe drizzle....

Was doing vat returns so soon as the storms started popping up I jumped in the car. Managed to stay under the Louth/Meath cell and got ahead of it as it moved offshore. The rainfall was intense with frequent flashes and some shotgun thunder. Managed to see one CG strike which was quite impressive.

Currently sat at Blackrock, just south of Dundalk watching the storm as it rolls into the Irish Sea. Thunder was almost constant a while ago but currently very little now. Unfortunately didn’t see any lightning bolts as I’m on the periphery and can’t see through the rain/hail core.

Might head back to Meath now and try intercept this next storm.

Firs picture was taken in north west Meath, second here in Blackrock. Not the most photogenic structures.

Happy hunting guys, hope you get your share too.

I feel quite positive about later. Portsmouth just might be a little too far west, but there could be activity in the channel to watch

That stuff over Ireland has got me a little more excited than I was earlier, but I doubt we would get anything that active

It’s gone eerily quiet right now.

will you be travelling to catch a storm?

looks like it will be a long night, NW percentages keep changing

I will be a mad radar wreck probably. Even the small chance of a farting cloud is enough to get me excited
