A few rumbles and flashes here but nothing special for round 1.  Hopefully more later.

Radar looks juicy to the south for you.

Hoping they make it rather than drifting out to sea.

A webcam for the storms to hit Aberdeen, not the best though because it updates every 15 seconds

Edit: Some more too.

Yes, and the thunder is getting much more constant now.

I was just about to post the same thing. Things are picking up quite rapidly with thunder and lightning now.

i may have mentioned something about Scotland getting some storms today, earlier. A friggin MCS for north-east Scotland

Met Office yellow warnings, and bizarre stuff about 'lightning' rather than 'storms'

Looking at the radar it seems Edinburgh has had at least 4 separate thunderstorms pass over/next to this afternoon. Impressive stuff!

Perth also has had at least 4.

Its so dark here the street lights are on, at 6.30 on the 1st July !

Storms are very fast moving though, unlike Mondays, only seem to last 5 minutes but heave heard rumbling thunder for a while now

I wasn't able to see any CG's from the Aberdeen cam although there was a change in lighting every two frames. Perhaps that was lightning?

Most of lightning looked to be cloud to cloud.

Tomorrow? Where?

Tricky to forecast tomorrow at the moment. Chance of surface based convection from north midlands northwards with storm potential greatest in Scotland.  Modelling currently shows limited cloud tops, but that does depend on upper level temperatures being estimated correctly from satellite imagery. If upper levels are just a bit cooler then you will get thunderstorms in the north. Triggering is likely to be occluded fronts by the looks of it.

Looking at the radar images, those storms in eastern Scotland were/are moving extremely fast, 50 mph or more..
