I am using chrome and getting the Ad block consent button on arriving on site but even if I disable my ad blocker and clear my cache I can't use the site on chrome. I tried it on IE and it was fine. 

Had to reset password to get it to work.

I'm not to sure what you're meaning, could you post a screenshot or give some more detail on what's happening when you try in chrome please?
