I don’t normally share Family pics on this site but I thought oh why not , It was my Wife’s Birthday Today and also my Eldest daughter , we have all had the weekend off so we started the weekend at Butlins in Bognor and the weather was excellent ( I still have the burnt head to prove it ) . The second day we woke from our stay at the nearby Travelodge hotel and went for breakfast and headed for the sea side which was great although the weather was now on the turn .Today was birthday day and we had a Bbq at home with all the family the weather was reasonably good and we had fun , Roll on summer ...

Just had quite a substantial shower in Bexhill! Lasted around 5-10 mins, and was really quite heavy for a time.

Bit of a mixed day in darkest Surbiton yesterday - when the sun came out it was incredibly hot, but the minute the clouds covered the skies, the wind seemed to come out of nowhere and it cooled down immediately so we didn't sit in the garden when we tried the Antelope pub for lunch. Persistent cloud here this morning and I've opened all the windows around the house to air it all out, will see if Nonsuch Park stays manageable temperature-wise for the wee Frenchie's walk later. Sunday is the first outdoor Special Olympics athletics competition of the south-east season in Windsor & Eton and it looks like the weather should be not too hot for the athletes - it's usually a nice day for that one.

Odd day today. It’s been very overcast here all day and not very warm at all all of a sudden it seems like the sun is trying to push through at long last. It’s very breezy here which is t helping with the temperature. We were heading to our local water park today but it’s to grey and cold.

So far a dissapointing day complete cloud cover and temps stuck around 19c but dry at least .... 

still got high hopes for tomorrow one of those freaky one day heat waves we occasionally get - pool is ready just waiting for tomorrow....???!!!!

As with everyone posting before me, a resolutely cloudy day, thick cloud in fact and quite a breeze whipping across Nonsuch Park so at least the dog didn't overheat. @Badgers01 I can imagine how deep that bracken must be now, I wonder if your dog disappears beneath it the same as ours - I could barely see him in the long grass this afternoon!

The last couple of days here have been lovely to start, then cloud rolled in to spoil the afternoon, but eventually melting away to give a fine end to the day. Just scraped 21C today.

And a lovely evening with contrails across the sky:

@chrisbell-nottheweatherman Hi Chris - rainfall imby this week (since our discussions about the variances in model forecasts) has been Sun 2.3mm, Tues 5.3mm and Wed 2.2mm; so 9.8mm in total. So I think the MetO and BBC forecasts in your posts a few days back did indeed turn out more accurate than GFS and Arpege (for my location).

I’m currently lying on the sofa in shorts and t shirt under a blanket. Thankfully I have such a cool house downstairs. It looks warm - will venture out soon.
