The wind had calmed down here for a while, its now back with some quite severe gusts. I've a massive Eucalyptus tree in the garden and I was certainly worried there for a moment. Still raining but no thunder for a while now.

I was bored at home in Haywards heath with the kids and mrs watching crap on TV,  to hot to do anything, so taken a drive down to bexhill, got on a cliff edge and watching a storm our a sea flashing away.

Where would be a good spot to go from here?

I've never tried chasing a storm before so not sure of where is good round here

The radar says it's raining.

My phone says it's raining.

The weather on TV says it's raining.

WHY ISN'T IT RAINING?!?!?!?!

Finding this all too much as it is still 30C here.

These sorts of temps are great on a beach in Ibiza with a pint of stella. Stuck in Peterborough isn't the same!

How unlucky can you get!!. The big cluster is moving just to the right of me. Must be epic for the east coast though.

Still over 30 degrees in large parts of east anglia and eastern areas. I wouldn’t be surprised with the cloud cover if we break the all time overnight record.

Diddly squat. It’s just dying as it hits the UK, not that anything amongst it was heavy in the first place. Doesn’t seem like much is gonna happen.

One of the biggest clusters you could wish for, but most of it is clipping the east coast. How more unfortunate can you be
