29.1c here in Sussex at 14.30 - just short of the magical 30c.

26.4c currently.

I have just been watching Gavin Partridge video where both Northolt and Heathrow Airport have both recorded maximum temperatures of 34°C at 4:30pm.

I think in fairness it was just an answer to the question which was did anyone get close to 35 degrees in the end? And yes I am a fellow South Ockendonite haha!

Still 32oC at almost 8pm. Could be some high overnight minima

Can anyone else in my area clarify anything like 35.4 recorded at 5.23pm Sevenoaks Kent?

From my Davis Vue which is normally very accurate, but would have expected others to have posted similar scores for NW Kent?

I was in Maidstone which I think is similar in distance from sea influences on a S/SE wind direction etc and it was 32oC so it seems a bit high. But you never know

It does, but we were definitely quite a bit over 32oC, we normally match places like Gravesend and Faversham etc when we get the heat.

Scorchio in Surbiton today Don't know official local temperatures as we tend to get lumped in with Heathrow, but the back garden was SOOO hot. At least it acclimatised us for Cyprus tomorrow, although Limassol seems to have been a degree or two lower than Heathrow today so perhaps we'll be cooling off....

From my years of driving around I notice there’s so many micro climates that don’t get reported because there isn’t an official weather station. So I wouldn’t be surprised. It was super hot today either way. Still is. Tomorrow is going to feel quite chilly in comparison

Love Limassol. We went there last year. Have fun! Beach is amazing!

We used to have weather stations though SE of London, I moaned about this earlier on the other thread, Gravesend, Biggin Hill, Greenwich...Never see reports from these places any more, its all about West London and Surrey now.

Agree we need more official weather stations in more areas. I think there’d be a few raised eyebrows at the extremes that don’t get officially reported.

Disappointing here in mid-Essex in terms of not getting above 30C.

As the WQ Radar map below shows, there was a band of MetO stations from Chelmsford north/north-eastwards across Suffolk and east Norfolk which didn't hit 30C.

I recorded 28.6C, my nearest MetO one (Writtle) got to 29.2C and second nearest (Andrewsfield) reached 28.6C.

Most models were quite accurate in predicting where the line between >30C and <30C would be 'drawn'.

And Gravesend, which has habitually been one of the stations that has recorded high temperatures, has been decommissioned, so we were told a few pages back on this thread. Daft cost-cutting.

A fan might help, to speed up evaporation.

Count yourself lucky; it's 25 °C in my bedroom. I am not counting on getting any sleep at all.

Just finished work and arrives home , in the unusual situation where I’ve gone to chill out in the garden and have a beer , what’s weird is my garden is not directly connected to by house as it’s a first floor maisonette, it feels lovely and pleasant with a gentle breeze blowing , lovely watching the stars , think I can see a couple of planets , Venus and Jupiter I think but my knowledge here is low . Lovely evening

Best shot I can get , even with the latest iPhone its hard picking out the stars and planets .

Lovely day out there, not to hot or too cool - just right with a slight breeze. 23.5c currently.
