My weather station says is 27.1c outside... Not quite sure if that's completely accurate

I could feel the increase in humidity here (Chelmsford) as early as this morning.

I'm currently recording 22.2C, 62% humidity. This time yesterday it was 20C but just 50% humidity.

Latest BBC and Met Office forecasts this afternoon suggesting later this week the hottest weather will be towards the SW. Seems like the onshore breeze from the North Sea could keep temperature slightly lower here compared to further west.

Core of the heat may transfer back to our region by the weekend though.

It’s extremely overcast here in Rye 21 degrees, humidity is 73%  it’s very windy here, the wind has got up since this morning. We were going to the beach and having a BBQ  today but it’s just been such an odd day. I have been reading about the plume coming up from Africa. It will be wonderful to have the heat but we still have to be worried about the elderly. I told my eldest that it might be that hot and he thought that was brilliant, Im lucky that my kids are so used to the heat from living in Dubai, my kids are all still wearing their jumpers because it’s “not that hot” they tell me. People think we’re mad.

I couldn't even imagine myself doing that, heh. Perhaps next time? Whenever that may be? Also, it's a pain getting down there from Bexhill without a car, particularly on a school night.

I'll keep you updated on my specific location's storm prospects tomorrow. Fingers crossed for another Tuesday repeat!!

Morning, well Seems to be a lot of ifs buts or maybes for the heat this coming week. Last Wednesday temperatures were expected of around 32c for Norwich, now 20c due to the slight shift In wind direction with it coming of the North Sea, I think that’ will be the big player to see where the highest temperature will be for the UK... personally I think the UK June record will be safe just...

seems my "joke" forecast last week was horribly accurate - not usual for Norfolk to have rubbish weather this time of year when the rest of the country is basking in glorious sunshine!
