I think the storms on the night if the 23rd of June 2016 dumped over 35 mm here in South London over about 6 hours.

It was the night before the Brexit referendum. Obviously drove a certain percentage of folk crazy!

Thanks for the kind words. It looks like the worst is over for most but still lots of rain around. Here’s a few pics of the flood we had. There’s lots of reports of bad flooding round here in Medway. Hoping they dry out quickly

40.2 mm. Looking at the lastest radar, may get up to 45mm before midnight, after which it looks like fizzling out here. Very impressive event nonetheless, and that represents almost 25% of my rainfall for the year to date!

Flood alerts now issued for the entire length of the  Loddon as expected.

Big flash of lightning here with thunder. Still chucking it down.

Back home in Prague, a big storm hitting there with lots of lightning. Same storm gave golf ball sized hail in Munich earlier!

I’m making reference to the white spotted line through London.

Flash of lightning off towards the north, probably Aylsham way.

Just south of Marsham next to the A140, according to lightningmaps.org.

You were right, round two has been very intense, under some very heavy rain now, got two lightning flashes earlier. I wonder if it will continue to build from the east.

Can I just say... hats of to the EURO4 clear master of convective weather

Lovely clear gap coming into the South east to... Very juicy

A very soupy day could be in store for the SE. Been relentless torrential rain here all night. Any SE warmth would certainly add fuel to this rainfront that’s been parked over here for over 24 hours now
