Exciting weather yesterday, today it’s just damp, grey and cool. Yawn.

Edit: torrential shower at Heathrow now, that’s more like it! The drizzle was very dreary.

What boring weather - rain and cold. Whoop dee do..

That beautiful fine weather in April seems a distant memory now.

‘Come on Sunshine’ - show ya face!!

Another good heavy shower coming through now. Ground soaking it up nicely. Will get some allotment digging done after work methinks, perfect weather for it. Another deluge forecast for tomorrow night but I'm not sure about that, they are not great at forecasting those fast evolving situations. Here's hoping.

Showers coming down from the Cheshire gap tonight and intensifying over London, heavy rain on and off here all evening. Why can't we get this in Winter, they always seem to fizzle out in the Midlands.

As in February it was a one week wonder, this spring has been poor despite what the monthly stats may show sunnier + warmer, one exceptional week often masks the more overwhelming scene. It’s been all a bit mediocre, this May has been absolutely nothing like the last, shame as it is often my favourite month. Something nicer next week but cooler airmass getting trapped into high pressure circulation, and no doubt cloud plague in east.

Looks like it’s been wet while I have been away - sunny and fresh in Cyprus ?? - Summer in uk all up for grabs still - but by no means a guaranteed scorcher !!

We had a hefty shower here earlier, and there's another one on the way.  We must be up to around an inch of rain so far this month; obviously, it's nothing like enough to offset the shortage over the past year or so, but it's better than April from that point of view.

Oooohhh, is that the Annabelle in Paphos, all renovated? Dropping husband at Gatwick tomorrow to go to Limassol to look after his mum for a week. The temperature is 23 tomorrow for arrival but Cyprus is predicted to get into the low 30s by Sunday - scorchio! Hope you had a lovely time. And yes, it's been definitely deluge followed by sunshine followed by deluge in plentiful supply; haven't been to Esher Common of late, I imagine it's gone from bone dry to on the wet side in the past few days. My dog keeps getting a wet belly on his walks, I imagine your little chap might be the same. Might go to Reigate Hill tomorrow after the Gatwick drop-off, it's usually very muddy up there so dog towels at the ready.

EDIT: No thunder yet in this vicinity, keeping fingers crossed for something soon.

Show's how dry it's been a couple of days of normal spring rain and we're all depressed

It's bruddy brilliant, laddie! Lovely black-bottomed Cbs and the wonderful sound of torrential precipitation, of the fluid persuasion, impacting the roofing materials!:yahoo:

Moderate hail shower containing larger-than-average hailstones just came out of nowhere in Bexhill!

Reigate Hill was glorious this morning, slightly wet under foot and enough puddles for dogs hell bent on mud and moisture to leave their mark on the owner's car interior after walkies. Some more clouds and sharp showers bubbling up now although apparently just missing Surbiton each time. Edit: The skies are trying hard!

No T&L this year so far and in recent days have not missed the beefy showers, storm drought goes on.

Felt very nice in the Sunshine today & only a 5 minute shower all day.

Drying out now for the next 7 days (give or take) a chance for the ground to dry up from all the recent rain.

Looks like the sunshine has won out today with the skies ending on a fairly benign note across Kingston Riverside following only a three-minute sharp shower this afternoon.

Lovely day with sunny spells and light winds. I actually did some gardening today which is a rarity for myself.

A very pleasant day with long sunny spells and reaching 15C. Some clouds bubbled up this pm but they were all bark and no bite.

Some folk might remember me posting about the swans nest on the local river Brett being sadly washed away in a wet spell last Spring with the loss of all the eggs. No such problems this year and here's Dad showing off his 7 youngsters.
