A beautiful day I’m Rye, the kids have been out all day again which they love this morning was spent watching them dig mud out of the lane and put it in a dumper truck then tip it on each other’s shoes. They come back covered  in dirt but I’m never worried. I like that’s it’s sunny at spring break it’s better that we can get out, my son is frightened of rain so going out can be a problem on wet days or wettish days.

The weather forecast was for 17 here today well it has reached 21 and that’s on the coast.  There has been the sea breeze here which feels slightly warmer. I do love this weather. I’m sure our bbq will be opened up by the end of this warm spell. I hope your all enjoying the sun.

Lovely day in Ashford, Middlesex, reached 21C. Much cooler here in Aberdeen this evening but nice weather, nonetheless.

Aberdeen mate? You get about.

Looking like a warm weekend coming up, nothing exceptional though.

Looks like another cracking day is on the cards! I wish everyone a great day, and I'm going to our caravan this afternoon for the miniature holiday-thing in Rye. I may see you again later, it depends on whether or not the Caravan has Wifi (I have no Mobile data at the moment).

It’s a beautiful day here inn Rye Harbour, very warm with a lovely warm breeze @LightningLover hope you’re enjoying Rye and the sun. I have a feeling you might be just around the corner from me.

Its BBQ time for us later we never miss a change to get the bbq out, I think a lot of people are having the same idea as I went to the shop and they had completely rolls.  Some very good posts on the Mod thread a lot from @Frosty. which are very good.

Had a proper sweat on today having a footy kick around courtesy of my nephew.

Absolutely stunning out there today.

More of the same to come, long may it continue...

And to those that worry about water,  because it hasn’t pi**ed down in 10 days.

I give you @CanadianCoops brilliant post in the MOD thread =

I've mentioned this before - people are unduly worried about this. The UK's reservoirs are at generally high levels across most of the UK. (some regional exceptions)

Put that into context - we had one of the driest summers on record last year and there were little issues. The media fans peoples fears and there's no need. We'll be OK. We can enjoy a nice summer...

Read the UK reports here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/water-situation-local-area-reports

Even Kent and South London is at close to full which is arguably one of the driest parts of the country: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/794178/Water_Situation_Report_Kent_South_London_March_2019.pdf

Honestly - no need to worry.

*let the sunshine continue

Interesting analysis from Weatherquest that shows the average date on which 20C (or higher) is reached in East Anglia is progressively moving forward by 4 days per decade. In 1990 it was the 23rd April and by 2018 the 8th April. As it happens, this year it was right on the longer term average date (1981 - 2010) reaching 21.6C in Cambridge and Monks Wood yesterday (18th April).

It's been a cracking good start to the Easter Bank Holiday weekend here in the Hastings area with light winds, wall to wall sunshine and temperatures locally around 22.7c.

It's great news for local businesses but unfortunately there is a downside. Local infrastructure has failed to keep up with the demand in recent years, and it's really beginning to show. Sadly another example of lack of forward planning which is so prevalent in this country.

Lovely blue sky light breeze and heat today, the rape field next door smell's very pungent in the warmth and I'm currently listening to the first cuckoo of the year, lovely day all round

Obviously a gorgeous day. Had a lovely walk along the river (with it's very high spring tide so was especially lovely), the smell of suncream and BBQs wafting around town.
I've gone from wearing my winter coat to this so suddenly. It went up to 23 degrees here.

Bit of a difference in the forecasts , ITV have the temperatures increasing and up to 27c on Monday and 26c on Tuesday before cooling down , The bbc forecast had today as the hottest  and a slow cooling trend from now on .

Up to 24c here with clear blue skies. Got those legs tanning up today to match my face and arms

Flip flop/ shorts weather for the rest of long weekend - perfect.

Unbelievable amount of Tadpoles in the pond this spring, you may need to zoom in on the photo to appreciate the number. Almost certainly a bumper breeding season due to an exceptionally mild winter.
