Lightning strikes nearby, didn’t see/hear anything unfortunately.

Had a nice hailstorm while visiting a site for work in Feltham near Heathrow this afternoon, quite big stones for a polar NWly flow in March! Was waiting in my car for it pass over before I got out to do my visit.

Dramatic skies at the allotment today, had to dodge the showers quite a bit, thanks goodness for the polytunnel!

Really fed up of the wind, glad change is afoot. We've even lost items that were weighted down.

Awesome! Remember a similar hailstorm on March 24th 2015, albeit from a slacker polar northwesterly. Proper big stones.

Nice day today, temperatures up to 11 here in Rye.  We have just had hail which was surprisingly quite large. It’s got cloudy here now looks like we’re in for a few more showers.

Beautiful convective skies yesterday and today, bringing the odd passing shower. Nonsuch Park wasn't too bad for the return with the dog after our enforced sabbatical due to the wind and rain; there are plentiful enormous puddles for dogs to romp through but most of the surface soil has already dried out in exposed areas away from the roots and bogs under the trees. The air last night felt so clear after the quite muggy conditions that accompanied the wind and rain of the last few weeks, while today's car temperature reading was 13 degrees.

A picture I took of the same hail storm near in Whitton (near Twickenham) yesterday afternoon!

Wow what a day, very convective, just the thunder and lightning missing. Lovely looking skies. I thought we only had light rain forecast.

Core that wind Saturday was threatening

I saw a twig blown across the road.

Much more settled weather on the way this week if rather cloudy at 17c possible.

Chance for the soaking wet ground to dry out a bit.

Next week looks quite good, definitely less windy and wet. River levels are generally at or above normal and apparently, reservoirs are nearly full, so a week or two of drier conditions won’t do any harm.

Started off nice and sunny, now clouding over with small patches of light rain, thought today was ment to be dry.

Same here. I think we are in for some dull drizzly days now. Intensely boring. Such a change from last week's proper weather.

So far this March is going the same way as March 2017 as in not one daytime maximum falling below 10C in Thanet (a big change from last year mind you). Nights have been more cooler on average than March 2017 though.

Nice start again, lets see if we cloud over with light showers again later.

The sheer unbridled tedium of it. Its just a weather enthusiast's borefest this.

90% of the weather here is boring. Always has been. Nice that the vile wind has gone, though. Shame about the grey skies, not like we don’t get enough of them here.

Glorious sunny start in Peterborough virtually no breeze and already feeling warm at 7.30 hopefully the sun will stay out all day like yesterday

You tell how dull the weather is by the fact that nobody has posted all day. It’s just been another cloudy, dull, cold day.  My son had football this evening and my hands were freezing by the end. Hoping to see the sun sometime soon
