A slushy 1cm if you're lucky above 100m ASL, a little bit more over the Welsh hills / southern Pennines. Hardly anything at lower levels.

Still more than we've had so far this winter

Some rather violent wind gusts suddenly picked up in the last hour here at work at Heathrow, must be gusting 50mph+, strongest winds for a long time, gusting 60-70mph along South coast recently.

Well the wind has really kicked up. Strongest gusts I've seen in a very long time. It's toppled a stone ornament in the garden that I struggle to pick up!

Very strong gusts here in Surbiton in the last hour or so, took down our fence panel with ease despite our efforts to prop it up. The trees are waving around like crazy and the dog refuses to go outside!

Had a 40mph gust in Reigate town, very windy indeed.  Coasts and the top of the Downs will be interesting at the moment.

Wow, wasn't expecting this much wind, everything flying around in the back, front door and porch door were blown open just now and even the wooden hatch to the loft has blown in by the draft. Very noisy out too.

Very, very windy In Bexhill currently. Next door's shed roof has been shred apart, and the sound is insane! Bin has practically hurled from it's usual spit this morning.

That wind is nasty, very gusty at Heathrow. Picked up suddenly earlier this morning. Rain overnight but dry now with sunny spells. Northern France copping the winds worse than us, the winds will move into Central Europe later today.

Yeah, quite unexpected in terms of intensity?

Latest gusts between 60mph and 70mph at some inland stations now across the SE

Wow got a highest gust of 86 mph on my station, at around 10:05, it must have gone of on one. Still gusting in the 60s mostly.

Lots of trees down locally, recycling bins flying and we had a brief 20 minute power cut about an hour ago, when the gusts seemed to be at their strongest. I think after the last named storm which didn't seem that bad in my neck of the woods, I underestimated today's offering!

think the worst is over now, gusts are at around 50, and the average wind speed has dropped too.

Certainly an odd sort of day: torrential rain, drizzle, heavy sleet and sunshine with mostly light winds from just about every direction...Currently 3.6C...

Much warmer here, 9.6 currently, an earlier high of 10.3 which is dropping now the winds are northwesterly. We did have a southwesterly for a little while.
