nice heavy rain shower a 30 sec burst of gravel size hails stones and a couple rumbles of thunder thrown into the mix as well. showers starting  grow in intensity tracking along the north face of the south-downs.

Ps i am at my work location in chandlers ford.

Dry and sunny here with blue skies overhead. As usual I can see the showers passing to the north like they always do. 19.7°C

Showers since late morning in north Fareham and here, all missing south  Fareham and the Solent coast so far.

Just heard a clap of thunder not too far away during the latest short downpour.

The extent and heavyness of the showers this far south/east was unforecast yesterday, it was updated late evening IIRC.

Reached 20.6°C here today with mostly sunny skies throughout the day, although we did have a few sharp showers in the afternoon.

After the early train of monsoon rains that dumped another 20mm, it dried and cleared up from mid morning into a bright septemberish sort of day.

A pleasant sunny, dry and warm day yesterday with a high of 20.5c.
Was breezy all day with 12-18mph winds and plenty of 20-25mph gusts.
A low of 13.9c at 6am.
Clear blue skies this morning, 15c now.
Wind has moved from SW to Westerly this morning and has dropped to 4-8mph.

Started off sunny, then completely clouded over. Now it's raining.

Hot air balloon flight attempt #5 scheduled for next Wednesday, breakdown from forthcoming summer spell will probably occur that day.

That's how many good Bank Holiday weekends this year and last? 

Early May BH and late May BH were fine and quite warm last year.

This year it has been Easter.. and now it'll be the August BH. Pot luck I suppose
