It was sunny. Now hazy sunshine. Clouds bubbling up to the south.

Oh no.  I checked hoping the forecast mayve improved but its got worse . Gutted.

Don't check it again now then. It's got worse again... But that's @Andy Bown's point. It'll chop and change.

The fact that it now appears to be worse might be a good thing, i.e. it's trending towards pulling the rain band through earlier, maybe even overnight Thur/Fri. Who knows...

The high res models (+48hrs) to cover Friday day won't be out until this evening, but if it's stressing you out, ignore them.

It'll be a cracking day out whatever. So just check Thursday evening to see if you should pack a brollie and your boots.

Remember - there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad preparation.

Good morning all. Hopefully the right discussion thread for. Fairford , Glos . On Friday im off to  the airshow. Unfortunately my Anxiety has been driving me mad about how bad the weather will be on Friday.,and its been   getting me very down.  As its just 48 hrs away, would anybody be kind enough to predict the weather for tbere, or which website you would recordrecomend if any.

Thanks in aadvance

I’m going there on the Saturday and it’s not looking any better either but unfortunately that is the luck with the British weather it’s been nice for weeks now and as soon as something comes up so the rain arrives!

A blue sky start turned to hazy sunshine by mid-morning, but it turned cloudier after lunchtime but there's the occassional brighter spell, albeit hazy.

Reached 23.4°C @ 14:01

Currently 22.3°C

Yes it even more frustrating looking at all the days before and after...not a drop of rain forecast.  Lets hope for some better predictions over the next 24 hours

A few large drops in the last half an hour but continued hazy sunshine too.

So maybe the A303 is the summer equivalent of the winter M4:search:

Front edge of the band of rain has passed over us, and guess what not a drop of rain, as it just faded away...

It's flying ants causing those radar echos!

Ah no I think you'll find the lighter blue is the front edge, the darker shading has been around the south coast all day, and is eluded to being ants

The bigger picture makes it clearer

We had some rain!
First drop since July 7th.

Only 0.5mm so far, that brings the July total to 3.6mm.
The veg garden is loving it, really hope for some more of what is predicted tomorrow.
It has turned into a daily hour each day with hosing the veg garden for the last few weeks, its been so dry.
Mind have enjoyed the low to mid 20c sunshine for the last few weeks too.

Been around 17.5c since 9pm last night, 17.7c now.
