Hottest day since 6th August, it’s easy to forget that in mid summer the highest temperatures generally happen about 16.00 to 17.00 .

Anyone think somewhere like Yeovilton could sneak a cheeky 30C before the day is out?

Another nice day in the South Hams. Breezy yet again, and not as warm as yesterday.

Don't have an accurate temperature but looking at current station readings it seems we are around the 20 degree mark right now.

I'd say 50/50 that we may get the warmest temps of the week tomorrow, all depends how quick the cooler air arrives here.

Somewhere in our region should hit 30 either today or tomorrow, surely?!

Most stations between N Devon and W Sussex between 27C and 30C right now. The heat broke through at last!
Currently under all-time record upper air, between 22C and 24C across the region! Great day for being in a hot-air balloon...

Guess we'll heat up tomorrow in NE Hants. Managed a very pleasant 25.5C today with gentle breezes.

Wasn’t far from the big 30 here with 29.4°C at... 16:20 with 41% RH.

It has dropped to 28.3°C since then

Yeovilton is showing 28°C for 16.00, I'm about five miles from there and have maxed out at 28.6, now falling to 28.1.  Maybe tomorrow?

Bit of a scorcher today with a max of 28.3 °C with the breeze subsiding quite a bit this afternoon adding to the hot feel. Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow but I can see several of us getting close to 30 °C

Currently 25.4°C outside and 26.1°C here indoors.  Have made sure that the fan in the bedroom is poised for action tonight!

To keep the rooms cool, I was advised to keep my curtains closed (until the sun swings around the house) and keep my window closed until it's warmer than outside but that never worked last year because the heat from the day seems to radiate through the roof and walls in this house so I nae bother.

Fan will do.

Highly unlikely we either need the cold front to massive accelerate to phase better with other parameters or reach a trigger temperature in the low 40s.....
