22.9c and feeling warm. Goodness knows what it will feel like next week.

Finally managed to upload a short video of lightning from the storm on the 14th June

Other than a bit too much fair weather cloud around, it’s a lovely summers day! 21.8C

We had that until about an hour ago. All clear now. Pretty much perfect, as Summer days go.

Bought a tower fan earlier, for next week. ☀️

That’s good. There was some cumulus around when I left earlier but it cleared up with blue skies as soon as I got to about Ringwood so I assumed clearance back home wouldn’t be too far away. ☀️

Beautiful day today, without a cloud in the sky!

High temperature today was 22.1°C. This was from another sensor as my main one is not playing ball!.

Maxed at 21°C here. Sunshine disappearing now. I suspect, that'll be the last of the sunshine until Tuesday.

Clear blue start, fair weather cumulus bubbled up through late morning and in to afternoon.  Now more cirrus spreading and making the sky hazy.  Didn't quite get to 25°C.

Clear blue skies more or less all day here and still the case now although I can see more cloud in the distance. Reached 19.6°C, currently 18.7°C

Wonder if this cirrus will prevent noctilucent viewing later.

Net Weather short range precipitation prediction is borderline for Wiltshire tomorrow 21.00 to midnight but promising for Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

Plenty of it out West, but we're in the gap at the moment, so sticking it out. Still got a good view to the North and should do for a while yet. Coats on.

I see the updated Meto Yellow warnings for the beginning of the new working week have been updated.

A large portion of South West England now warming free, re thunderstorms.  Just the Eastern most counties of our region at risk now.

[sigh]Yes sadly. What’s it going to take for us to see decent thunderstorms in our part of the world?

My childhood is full of memories of absolute humdingers*. For all these yellow warnings issued last year and again this year we see nothing and now even the warnings are being removed before the originally forecast ‘event’.

Yep. UKV model shifted the fun further East yesterday, by quite a margin. I actually think the warning is still a bit far West as well.

Agree.

A bit out of our region but even the one for the North for later today has gone unless it’s about to be replaced with a new one. If not, all these yellow warnings over the past few days have been a bit of a red herring. The models leading the UKMO up the garden path somewhat.
