Not the best photo as I've got a bunch of trees to my north blocking it so had to take this out the bathroom window, but it's a stunning view in person.

Fading a bit now, sinking a bit. They were at least 40 degrees up from the horizon at around 11pm.

I wonder if they will return before sunrise. If not, could be a good few evenings to catch them again.

From looking on twitter, appears most of NW Europe has had a show!

You could send yours to spaceweather, Dean, they might well do a feature.

Thanks Tom!

On a separate note, if and when thunderstorms arrive next week, how do fellow storm enthusiasts feel about meeting up to enjoy the spectacle?

And if so,  what areas would people feel happy to meet at? Obviously it would need to be somewhere with great views. That goes without saying!

Just an idea.

Beautiful start to the morning here, clear blue skies and rather cool first thing. Warming up now though.

Station is reading 23.5°C currently, now that is way over the top as I'm testing a new radiation shield I've constructed.

Other stations around my area suggesting 19°C is more current!

It’s cold down here. Only 17.1°C

In fact it’s dropping too as the breeze is picking up.

Was a pleasant dry sunny day yesterday, around 19c for a fair part of noon to late afternoon

Apart from a little drizzle On Wednesday, its been dry since.
Started off lovely and sunny today, and just hit 18.2c under lovely blue skies.
8-10mph SE wind.
