Absolutely pouring again today after a less wet night. We are at 36.2mm of rain since 2.30pm yesterday, with some torrential rain looking like in the next couple of hours.

I ,plus two changes into dry clothes can confirm, that my gardening work has been done in weather that without swearing can be politely described as diabolical. To add insult to  injury,my long awaited return to river fishing is now on hold as the Dorset Stour has gone missing and the Hampshire Avon is coming to me rather than the other way round, dont you just love the UK weather lol

Had a brief period of torrential rain in central Bristol about an hour ago while I was in a meeting. Impressive stuff for December.

Brief interlude and now it’s raining again... Getting very tiresome dodging the rain.

A very wet day here with heavy rain until mid afternoon when the sun came out for a while but it’s raining again now. 11.3°C

That looks pretty nasty! Guaranteed hail in that.

No hail here although I was on the edge of it. Was very brief but added 0.4mm in about 30 seconds before stopping again

Wandered over to the field to get a view East. Just the one flash that I could see, probably just North of Romsey.

Edit : Now I'm in the back garden looking West. A single flash from somewhere.

Can't believe how wet it has been today. A true deluge. Eased slightly at around 4pm but it is now tipping it down again with some bright echoes on the radar. Had 46.2mm of rain so far today, on top of the 26.2mm yesterday.

A max of 10.8°C today but it has been very wet with rain for most of the day, only a few dry periods. Sun tried to make an appearance around 2pm but a false echo as more rain followed...

Winds have died down, however. Currently 9.4°C

That last downpour has taken my monthly total over  100mm for December,  that's 5 months straight I've recorded 100mm+ and now over 1000mm for the year.

The rain missed me by a few miles to my west, but quite a light show from that earlier. Some bright white strikes!

Morning All, we are just under the trailing edge of last nights rainfall, so the rain is now light in nature and mild, so again we are reaching this winters natural result of Mild & Wet. with the RH96 %

Currently 8.4°C just up from the overnight low of 8.3°C at: 05:31..
