I've been in a gap in the rain over the last hour or so which has meant there hasn't been a huge amount of rain here yet. The area of heavy rain to the west is slowly edging closer though.

It looks like that rain is beginning to curl back around?! My sister sent me a pic of the floodplains the other day.. there's a house which sits by the river, it floods the garden, but very rarely does it get worse than that, with the exception of 2013/2014 when it did enter part of the house. It looks like it has done it again! The fields are the most flooded I have seen since that infamous Winter.

Ended up with 13.8mm of rain yesterday and a further 1.2mm in the early hours today.
That brought the December total to 100.6mm, bit more for this month than the Sep/Oct/Nov mid 90's mm

Feels chilly this morning, its dropped to 7.3, after 10.8c temps yesterday.
Quite grey out now, but hopefully some sunshine intervals later as the forecasts are predicting.
Liking the forecast for next week, fairly dry with just some occasional showers. Will be plenty of puddly walks on our Christmas walks.

I'm not so sure about "... just some occasional showers..." looking at the fax chart for Tuesday

And then again on Thursday...

I think they suggest more than occasional showers..however the suggestion of Christmas Day being dry, is hanging in there right now..

65.98mm of rain here over the past week, somewhat impressive and hasn't been seen for a while. 53.70mm of that has fallen since 12am Friday, so pretty impressive.

Monthly total now sits at 119.8mm.

Interestingly the fields surrounding my area are waterlogged with large floods now showing, however rivers are starting to fall here after their peak during the early hours. Just shows how important open fields and green space is for flood prevention!

Currently 8.9°C with partly sunny skies.

Dry with hazy sun for a lot of the day but a few showers have arrived now so still won't get a dry day. 8.8°C

"Another cloudy day here with some rain and staying dull nothing really interesting. The temperature has been around 5c to 6c."

No not here, but from the Scottish thread, and I though this was classic:

" Les Arcs. It's peltin doon wi snaw there the now. Cannae stop looking at the webcam....."

Not only are we the ones experiencing a very different winter!

Meanwhile here wet & mild, and so it continues. Roll on May...

Forecasts seem to be updated now for Thursday here and showing some light rain, looks to be anytime through the day.
Rest of week looks dry still though.
Hoping it does stay dry this week, more for those that are still drenched from the last few weeks..

We had some showers overnight, but apart from that it's been 'dry.'

Sunny with a fresh breeze this morning. 9.3°C

The rain never stops here. Some heavy showers on a Bristol Channel streamer so far this morning.

122mm in the last 10 days!

It is truly awful first third of winter.

Autumn is now 6 months instead of the usual 3 at winters expense :unsure2:

You have to give the Met Office their due, they got this one right, from the start (well at least for the first 23days!)....

First time I’ve seen this at this time of day for a while. Will it survive the whole day?

Hazy sun for most of the day but it’s clouded over now. 9.8°C
