Chilly, grey and misty after a foggy start. A little more seasonal than of late but to be honest I'm craving sunshine, despite the month's sunshine figures thus far. 5C

Felt like two days of continuous rain here. It only added up to 6.8mm.

In a clear slot at the moment, but I can see the cloud associated with the rain just to the SE of here.

Seen any lightning in it? Seems to be some in that area of the channel.

And the temperature is falling slowly, could be an interesting start in the morning.

Well that was an entertaining weather evening. Went out earlier, and watched the cell off Highcliffe trigger a couple of lightning flashes as it moved towards the IOW. The mist whilst patchy wasn't too bad until I reached the River Stour area in Nth Bmth, there it was thick fog, couldn't see the turning I needed as I couldn't see it. The next cell that really ignited between Swanage & Wareham, and tracked towards us around 8ish, bringing torrential rain and hail, everything went white for a while. Sure enough that cleared the mist and fog from the whole area. Yet the hail still remains on the ground, currently 3.5C

Certainly some cracking variations of weather over the past few days!

I went to put the bins out and it was raining with thick fog.

Tomorrow/Thursday we'll get a nice drink:

No fog here and just had a brief shower that lasted about a minute. Went down to 2.9°C not long ago but it's risen quickly to 5.3°C now.

1C out there, clear sky and a light frost forming on the cars.

Really looking to the 'warm southerlies' as Tomasz Shaveyournecker mentioned on tonight's national forecast.

Shame on David Braine for using the 'at least it will be mild' expression. I know he's a mild ramper, but in the run up to Christmas, people would like to see something seasonal. Under wind & rain, it won't feel so mild anyways, windchill.

But he seems to think that people will take some comfort... ohh it's going to be horrible, but at least it won't be cold

It’s a damp and chilly start, albeit partly cloudy.

Overnight low was -0.5°C at: 04:27 but started rising afterwards to the 1.3°C we are on now
