Already up to 7.2mm of rain. I don't know why, but it feels like ages since we had some decent rainfall.

Turned into a lovely day yesterday, 11.5c, plenty of sunshine.
Had our first rain since Nov 27th, apart from a little drizzle of 0.2mm on Friday. It totalled 4.6mm with a spell between 1am to 4am.
Wind picked up from 11pm, been 15-22mph, with plenty of 25-30mph gusts and a few 32-34mph around 5am.
Lovely sunshine this morning but still blustery

Just went very dark here, a quick heavy shower.
Brightening up now.

Wind picked up for five minutes or so during that shower with a few late thirties gusts and one of 42mph.
WSW wind still constant at 15-23mph with plenty of 25 to 30mph gusts.

Met office has been pretty spot on with the wind speed, gust speed and that shower.

Late evening gust Met forecasts are 34-43 mph until 1am. Slight downgrade from the late 40s - early 50s we had in the Met forecast yesterday evening and early morning.

Heard thunder earlier in the distance but none overhead. Two torrential downpours so far with hail.

Just had one hell of a thundery shower  pass through here with the largest hailstones I've ever seen came down at the end of the shower, I had to run back in the house from the garden as they were painful striking you!

Didn’t get a great deal from the showers this afternoon here as the heaviest ones missed here. Quite a notable temperature drop when the first shower went through. 8.4°C

Had a real interesting squall line earlier this arvvy..both my sons in different places commented how quick it hit and how ferocious it was. Here with a suddent downpour the wind just took off as the ws reading shows:

And a noticeable drop in daytime temperature to boot...

We had hail this year at 2-3 inches in size whilst chasing in the USA this year..now that hurts...
