Heavy rain and quite a rapid temperature drop here at the moment. 9.5°C to 7.4°C in just over 5 minutes and still dropping.

Heavy rain has now passed through Exeter.  It was on occasions lumpy rain (i.e had ice mixed in with it), whether it was melted hail or very wet snow was impossible to say.  Radar suggested sleet.

Yes, it could have been, as the hourly temperature readings from Exeter Airport suggest a rapid temperature drop to 3.1C, which is just about low enough for the odd bit of half-melted snow to survive on its way down:

Had an impressive temp drop today as a band of heavy hail came in. From 6.3 to 3c in 5 minutes.

Elsewhere snow in princetown and up round okehampton. A30 down to one lane.

Impressive winter days weather for here and its not even winter!

Rain lasted an hour here. That's definitely in the top 10 of useless warnings.

The warning did emphasis areas further north would likely see more and higher impacts..

Was just your typical heavy rain here.

Temp currently 4.1°C...

Meanwhile, aunt in Ireland sent this... trying to make me the least bit jealous.

Have woken up to heavy snow here in Yate. Everything turning white. Nice surprise.

Morning All, a clear starry start to the day. Reach the car & then doh! Doors frozen door handles frozen, windows all frozen, no surprise as it was -0.7°C at: 06:20 and then it was a case of trying to clear frozen rain drops from the windscreen. Roads seemingly not gritted (even though I live on a bus route), so a couple of icy patches found.

Oh you got to love it, winter.... nice to see you again (Ok even though it is still late Autumn).
