Has been a mostly sunny day today, apart from a shower at around 2.40pm as the channel showers moved in. The high was 10.7°C, but felt cold.

Currently partly cloudy, 5.3°C.

22.9 mm of rain from that lot early last night and then a bit of a streamer early this morning. Today pretty cold feeling but plenty of sunshine. We did have a rather brief but sharp hail shower around lunch time as well.

Yes it took me by surprise earlier when I looked and it was 5°C.

Went down to 3.2°C but back up to 3.9°C at the moment.

Yorkshire folk dont have umbrellas.

Bit of a Rees Mogg decision, do you stay and watch the floodwaters rise, or do you get out and come back in a few days time to clear up.

Rotherham is going to be a bigger news story than Sheffield tommorow.

Gone right back up to 7.0°C now. Could be because more showers have appeared just off the coast.

1C outside, with thin frost on the roof of the car. I bet it will halt somewhere around 0.5C then start going up lol, just to practise for winter.

Mornin All, as many I'm sure will comment today, had our first air frost of the season last night, with an overnight low of 1.3°C at: 02:19 and not much above that present @ 1.6°C

Hello @Mapantz

Is there any chance you could advise what time the UKV has tomorrow's rain hitting the Salisbury area?

We're due to resume bonfire building at 10am, but might pull it forward if we can avoid a soaking.

Many thanks

First frost of the season last night, temperature got down to 0.3°C. From my 9 years of weather data, this was one of the later frosts, with the average being around 27th October.

Also been told by a friend who lives in Oslo, Norway that they woke up to a blanket of snow for the first time this year. Apparently its 3 weeks earlier than normal! Wouldn't mind some of that!

Currently party cloudy with hazy sunshine, feeling cold at only 5.6°C.

Hi jtay!

Here's a GIF of the current UKV from 6am to 11pm:

Lo and behold, that is exactly what happened. Rain moved in overnight, then cleared before sunrise and it's now a beautifully bright day again.
