Another useless warning.. Yesterday showed the thunder/lightning symbol pretty much all day. Today, however, no showers forecast.

Was thinking much the same.
its a lovely sunny day here, lots of blue sky and all forecasts showing a few light showers later today.
We had a few showers between 8:30am and 10am, 2.3mm
it was 18.6c at noon, currently 18.1c
SW wind has picked up a little in last few hours 12-16mph and some 20-23mph gusts.

Some lovely cloudscapes today, including this anvil.

I totally agree Mike. A rare clean convective day. By my reckoning the CB to my north is either north of Swindon or even near Cheltenham according to the radar!

The rain near Warminster is from a very large anvil that has been overhead for more than an hour!

A mix of heavy showers and sunshine today... it hasn't felt too bad when the sun comes out.

Reached 18.8°C earlier, currently 16.4°C

Looks to be a thunderstorm just leaving Newport, heading for the N Somerset coastline. Fingers crossed!

Hardly any showers here as usual. Everything passing to the north.

Had frequent showers today from first thing. They have tended to move to the north now over the last few hours.

The cloud base seems to be rotating to me..

We're on a convergence zone, so it's hard to tell if it's different level clouds moving in different directions. Cells are developing nicely to my west and north west and are now looking organised and moving slowly. Very dark here and a few rumbles, but seems to be a shield around us on the radar lol

The rain warning was definitely not useless here. Real monster showers today with several deluges through the day with lots of rain in a very short period. I travelled home from work through one a short while ago and it was very tricky driving indeed!

May sneak a little piddly shower from the NW before sunset.

Felt really mild and humid up until about 4pm and warm in the sunny periods. Clouds and showers coming in from the west/south west not really changing the temperature too much. Then around 4:30pm clouds and thunderstorm coming from the north/north west, torrential downpour, overhead thunder, hail. After it passed feeling cold in the strong northerly breeze. Wonder if that sudden change from humid south westerly to potent northerly would have given some thundersnow in winter.

Well I waited and I waited for something interesting to pop up here but apart from a couple of brief showers this morning, we had not a sausage. Just an average reasonably pleasant day really, with a few sunny intervals. Total rain, all this morning, 1.0 mm. Thank goodness I chose not to warn anyone I know about the warning lol.

I can finally add a to the rainbow pictures from last week taken just north of Winchester earlier.

Not much in the way of showers back home with just a couple of moderate showers with sunny spells for most of the day. Reached 18.1°C, currently 12.9°C
