So after all the showers have missed here this afternoon it looks like ones finally failed to dodge me as it looks like it’s about to hit here.

It actually felt reasonably warm when the sun came out although the strong breeze has been constant all afternoon.

You know what... instead of missing me to the north like every other shower, it’s gone south of me  

Ok I did get a few spots by catching the very edge of it but that was it.

Yet again under torrential showers. They intensify so quickly just to my west before coming overhead and giving an absolute soaking.

That is nearly here, however I may miss out on the heaviest of it to the north.

It got us while we were noshing on our fish and chips at Southbourne...

Then it moved on, for a nice walk afterwards, where I bumped into a chap I know that's moved there from Downton.

Back home now and it's chucking it down.

Overall a rather interesting day here. Up to now, today I've had 39.2 mm of rain. My July totals were looking rather low, but today has added a lot more than all the other days combined. Pretty cool too with a max of 18.8 °C, only the 2nd day in July to fail to reach 20 °C . Apart from during the intense rain the winds haven't been as strong as expected however.

Foul Autumnal type night out there with gusty WNW wind and driving rain!

Third attempt at hot air balloon flight booked for next Tuesday on our anniversary. Not looking promising at a week away.

Goodness, Tobertron, you've had three times the amount of rain I've had here today, total for the system to dark was 13.8mm.

Quite a breezy night out there with the odd strong gust. There's another blob of rain coming over too...

A dismal day overall, getting up to just 19.5°C in the late sunny spells, the 2nd day this month not to reach 20°C, the other being the 19th. I can't complain to much as I failed to record 20°C on 16 occassions in June!

And still the rain misses here. Apart from a brief shower early this evening it's been dry here since early afternoon. Reached 20.4°C, currently 16.8°C.

Morning All, with the overcast layer of cloud now breaking quickly, the temperatures reflecting a warm night with the current temp just above the overnight low of 15.6°C at: 04:37.

A low of 14.2°C at 04:09.. it has been mostly cloudy all morning however there’s been a few sunny spells. Less dreary than yesterday to say the least.

Low cloud first thing and quite cloudy with sunny spells until midday, since when it’s been unbroken sunshine and breezy, 23.5c max.

18mm yesterday/overnight, more than doubled the monthly total.
