31.7°C max here, now down to 28.5°C, cloud cover all round now, still quite breezy but less humid.

Just relaxing in the garden after a very hot day at work! The breeze is unbelievably warm and the clouds are building ahead of the potential thunderstorms tonight. Fingers crossed we get one head on ?.

Really lovely to experience the extremes of summer, as it is to do the same in winter.

The extreme heat Thursday looks just a tad to far east to break any records here in Stroud but looks mad elsewhere.

Enjoy or loathe this spell wherever you are (depending on your preference) the weather plays a massive part in all our lives and this spell is one to remember.

Some huge raindrops starting to fall now, just spots, I know the main thunderstorm risk is for later behind this showery section but certainly ‘feels’ primed out there for something.....

Hi Chris,

Just had those raindrops too down the road in Rooksmoor. Biggest I’ve ever seen! Only took a minute to soak the road, and it was hardly torrential.

Just been in the Storm thread, Matt Hugo quote on there, looks like our bit of the SW primed for 9/10pm... been too long here, last summer the proper storms were always 20 miles away - N S E or W!

The rain drops were massive!

Hope we get a direct hit rather than seeing it all go to Gloucester or Cirencester. Should be a good light show even if it does.

This is the life, sat at the Cumberland hotel by the pool on Bournemouth’s east cliff. Cold beer and unrestricted view out over the Channel #winning!

Still measuring 28.9c on the kestrel 5500, incredible!

What time do they kick out? You'll be smashed.

Ian seemed amused on Points West. The heaviest cell in the area passed over right at the time of his outside broadcast!

Exciting days. Touched 33C here, really looking forward to storms. Loving Estofex having us Level 2. Its probably going to be a case of pass the supercell later!  I can hope  At least lots of us are in with a chance.

Hate this humid type of heat.

Hopefully we'll return to the 20-25c range and drier heat of back end June/1st 2 weeks of July v soon.
