Rader shows rain over Honiton, but its not raining here.

I heard on the metoffice site that some of the rain could evaporate before it hits the ground unless its a downpour, thats why there not so concerned about rain tonight but more on the lighting.

Oddly, they mentioned that yesterday on BBC Weather - that not all the rain this evening would reach the ground! First time I can recall them doing that.

Currently 31.1°C here, with a max of 31.4 - hottest of the year by 1.6 degrees but I still haven't seen 32 here in the last 10 years.

New weather station installed just in time to get me some heat records. So, IMBY (Fleet, N. Hants) we have 33.3°C with 30% RH and gusts of 8.5mph ESE.

I guess if you like the heat, this would be stunning. For me it's a furnace!

I'm finding today more bearable than yesterday because of the lower humidity. Same temp and RH as you're recording. Not looking forward to 25c overnight tho, especially as Im on earlies tomorrow

Think there may be proof of a lot of the rain not making the ground from the fact that at West Bay there have been folk on the beach etc all through what looked like rain on the radar.  Web cam there could be interesting later too.

Complete cloud cover to S/SW/W, still clear to N/NE.

29.2°C was my max. Temp rapidly dropping now though. I said I wouldn't look at any charts, but I failed. UKV looks pantz for Dorset. The main action seems to develop further North.

I think I am a little odd because given the choice when the temp is this high I would rather it was more humid. I am quite fair-skinned and in the strong (dry) sunshine it does actually feel like I am burning.

However, I'm with you on overnight humidity - just crossing all available fingers that some of tonight's storm action shunts a little further east to take the edge off.

And then later in the week to the west and then to the east, with a smidgen of rainfall here, possibly Friday...possibly..

Can we take bets where the cell on the lower left is going to go, it has enough oomph to now show nicely on the European lightning sites..

High today was 33.4C, making it 0.2c warmer than June's high! Local Met Office site reporting 31C and that's right on the coast. Good accuracy here!

Currently 32.4C and feeling increasingly oppressive.

A very unpleasant max of 31.5 °C. Easily my highest temperature of the year and the first day above 30 °C. Clear skies throughout the day until about an hour ago when it rapidly clouded over. Was a fair breeze earlier but it has all but stopped now.

Down to 26.4°C here. Still windy, and clouding over from the West. Strangely, I didn't think it was that humid today. quite pleasant even in the sunshine.

This is the life, sat at the Cumberland hotel by the pool on Bournemouth’s east cliff. Cold beer and unrestricted view out over the Channel #winning!

Still measuring 28.9c on the kestrel 5500, incredible!
