Gipsy Patch lane in Bristol after the deluge around 2pm! Never seen this road flood to the point the drains are pumping the water out. The water has now gone but the manhole covers have been displaced.

Today can be described as 'saturation'.

19C with a 18C dewpoint. Been pouring on and off all day so heading for the wettest day of the year so far - after so many weeks without any rain! Felt like the tropics coming out of the air conditioned gym not long ago.

How many mm Mike?

Just 3.5mm here, been showers or drizzle on the edge of the rain bands all day.

Heavy rain, drizzle, moderate rain, drizzle, heavy rain mix today. And the moderate and heavy rain spells have been the longest. Grass and hedges are going to grow well the next week or 2! Amazing growing season this year so far - and just at the point it was about to stop as its been so dry, we’ve had the wettest day here since early June.

Final total from the system is 6.7mm.  All the heavy stuff went round us both during the day and overnight.  First day since June 17th that the temperature has failed to reach 20°C, max yesterday was 18.9°C

Guys  I need a quick bit of help.

Im thinking of going back to Fairford today from Worcs,  but Im seeing predictions of heavy showers around again.  I will basically cry if pay for another ticket and stuff gets cancelled.

A surprisingly low 7.1 mm of rain from yesterday. Very much between anything interesting. Main thing of note was the temperature which only got to 18.5 °C which is easily the lowest max so far this month and the only day 21 °C or higher hasn't been reached.

Absolutely wonderful in Swanage! Also due to the shape of the coastline the breeze is actually off the land so it isn’t feeling cool at all

Wait until you try to get home, the Purbeck slow lane will take it's toll especially as the Ferry is out of order..Could consider the dive west at Corfe and then go around..
