As I type the 20c 850pha isotherm is just about passing overhead, normally writing that even down here I’d be expecting a max temp into the 30s. That said probably a slow burner today due to the wind and north easterly surface flow. Currently 16c, I’m guessing we’ll max about 25-26c.

18C and sunny at Torquay Marina after an overnight low of 14C.

Live look at the inner harbour which looks gorgeous this morning: https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/united-kingdom/england/torquay/torquay.html

19C and sunny in St Ives but check out the wind, Its shaking the camera and you can see the paddle boards below blowing around. In fact taking a closer look there's all kinds of stuff blowing around in what looks like a gale: https://www.skylinewebcams.com/en/webcam/united-kingdom/england/st-ives/st-ives.html

18 degrees here near Modbury in the South Hams.

As per the rest of the region, very keen breeze which is keeping it feeling fresh.

Will be interesting to see if there are one or two sheltered spots in the region that manage to escape the effects of that breeze on the temperature.

Another sunny and warm start to the day. Breeze from the East-Northeast today, rather than due east yesterday, so expecting temperatures to be a little higher than yesterday.

Currently 22.3°C, winds E-NE 13mph.

Feels very warm in Southampton when out of the breeze. I’ll be back home soon so I’ll be able to check the temperature then. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s higher than this time yesterday.

The Stratocumulus burned off shortly after 07.00, there’s a few Cirrus and Altocumulus (or cheese on toast clouds if you’re nearly 3!) patches and a gusty SE wind. 24.8c at the moment.

Lots of local weather stations currently 28/29C on the north Cornish coast, the one place in the country being truly affected by the continental heatwave. Maybe more of the region will join in tomorrow.

25.7°C max here.  Yeovilton is showing 25°C according to the MetO site, they don't seem to go in to the realms of decimal points!

Slightly off topic, is anyone else using FF and finding it difficult or impossible to make a post on this site today?  I've had to resort to Chrome where all is OK

High reached today was 25.8°C at 15:25. Easterly breeze wasn't appearing to have too much of effect on shade temperatures, but did feel refreshing at times!

My guess locally will be 30°C tomorrow, given the lighter winds, higher humidity and more of a East/SE element.
