Yes that area has expanded quite a bit since it entered the channel a while ago.

Classic thunderstorm rain here - just without the thunder and lightning..

No thunderstorms here overnight.
Rained heavy from 1:30am to 3:30am and some drizzle around 6am.
Total was 5.9mm
Temp was 16.5c at midnight, now 17,7c

Wind took a NW tweak during that rain spell, now SW 2-4mph. 
Dry now and cloudy.

15.6C & raining. 6mm in the last hr apparently. Disappointed not to have been woken by thunderstorms but after today it looks quite pleasant. I’ll take pleasant as have a couple of big jobs that need doing in the garden.

First night of the summer with the rubbish air cooling fan (supposed to be like air con - it's not...). Window open and woke to very heavy rain. Still feels very muggy.

Was quite a nice start this morning between Kingsbridge and Modbury, plenty of sunshine but now it's clouded over.

Certainly felt warm at about 8.40 when the sun was out.

By the way, is this a legitimate station down in Plymouth? It was recording 22.9 deg just before 10am, which to be honest I can well imagine as the sun has been out there pretty much all morning:

If so, goes to show that if we do get a good spell of unbroken sunshine, expect those temps to climb nicely!

Seems it was seen over quite a large area of Dorset.  Shame I was facing the opposite direction watching the sunset!

4.7mm to 09.00GMT, thought it might be more given the intensity at one point.  Still overcast, still muggy.
