I won’t believe it until this time tomorrow evening. Plenty of time for a rogue shower to turn up lol. Monday would have been dry but we had drizzle first thing.

Looking at ECM raw 2m data, for Thursday at least, the hottest of the temperatures look to be in our region. I presume thanks to a slight flow off the North Sea suppressing temps further east pushing it this way? Bring it on then!

Still a lot of uncertainties at this range. Usually, in hot spells, most of the region further inland always gets the higher temps. If a wind from an Easterly quadrant sets up, my temperature readings rocket! If all goes to plan, I may get a new station record. 31°C on the 20th June 2017. My birthday is next week as well!

Haven't recorded 30°C in the 2 summers I've lived by the coast so I'll be interested to see if it does reach that next week.

Overcast, and quiet an interesting overnight low of 6.4°C at: 04:18, which has slowly crept towards 11.1°C. currently. Passing light shower to our south skirting the coastline has given a few drops of rain.

I actually laughed when I checked the radar at 06.00 because it was so obviously going to happen somewhere. I truly wouldn’t bet against sharp showers later.

Almost the sole one in the area, apart from the fact we have one running just to our south over the harbour and along the channel.

Suddenly the blue skies and warmth have disappeared and been replaced by grey clouds and a temp drop of 3°C.

cor blimey, some contrasts are coming. Some places could get as low as 2c tonight under clear skies (so, a ground frost for some)

then, the met office outlook for early next week, the text forecast mentions the risk of severe storms breaking out.

into, the oven, we go (soon)
