A pleasantly warm and sunny afternoon here in inland Dorset.  Only drawback was the strength of the wind.  A few threatening clouds, but mostly cumulus cloudscapes as shown below.

What's wrong with Hampshire @jtay?:nea:

The mean temperature here to the 13th is just 13.5°C... would be almost a whole degree lower if it weren’t for the warm start to the month!

Had a early shower but the day was mainly fair with sunny spells, with a high of 19.9°C. Breezy but comfortable comparable to the previous days!

Whilst on a walk, I noticed how many of the chalk streams have responded to the recent rainfall. Only around 24mm has fallen locally, but clearly the dry ground has allowed water to flow off the land much faster or into the streams, with good flows. Indeed the River Ems out towards the South Downs is full currently, first time I've seen this in many months!

Only kidding @matt111

I grew up near Fawley, so I can say that.

Off to Southbourne for breakie in a minute. Bit of cloud rolling in now, which is a shame.

Got pretty wet down on the coast earlier, but got home to a decent afternoon.

Sat watching the tops of the train of showers in the distance, way out over Somerset.

Overhead cloud in the pic below has just cleared and we're back in the blue.

Same sort of day as yesterday here, wettish morning and then a dry, sunny and warmer afternoon albeit with a stiff SWrly.  Watched the towering cumulus to the NW all afternoon, one line a little closer now but still beyond Yeovil.

Sunny turned to clouds and showers for the afternoon, with a high of 19.0°C during the morning hours. Currently sunny with 14.1°C, rainfall today around 0.5mm.

Being the 15th, I have taken a look my data locally for the conditions so far this month and it really does give grim reading for June.

Average temperature has been only 14°C, some 3 to 4 degrees lower than average from 2010-2019 recordings I have and currently sits as the coolest June. 5°C!!!! Lower than 2018, but that's to be expected.

Rainfall has been close to average, however wet days have been greater.

The more interesting fact is the average wind direction has been 170°, making that near SSE, an unusual direction for this locale. However with Lows moving in from the East, this isn't a surprise.

Will not even bother with sunshine amounts, low is enough to say about them!

0.4 mm of drizzly rain on Fri and 0.9 mm of same yesterday. Brightened up between the cloudy spells yesterday with a high of 17.4 c mid afternoon.

This morning it has been a bit of a damp drizzly morning here, 2.4 mm of rain.
It is trying to brighten up now, but its still cloudy, 15.3 c, 10-15 mph SW wind.

That rain they have had further up the country looks bad, makes my 56.6 mm this month look poor. Most of that was on June 7th, 34 mm, since then its been 8th June till 13th June each days rain of 1 mm to 4.8 mm and since then its been drizzly days with each day total not making 1 mm, until today's 2.4 mm

Liking the forecast for the next few weeks, temps near the 20c mark, and the odd light shower now and again. Just right for the veg garden.

Just for a change, it’s cloudy, it’s beeezy, and it’s not exactly warm.

Not liking the increasingly wet forecast for Tuesday given outdoor plans that afternoon. What do we have to do to get a dry day round here!

Mostly cloudy but bright with sunny spells. Warmer than recent but a bit of a breeze making it feel cooler. Has stayed dry apart from some light rain earlier.

17.6°C

Met app now showing rain by mid morning on Tuesday! Not even expecting tomorrow to be dry, sure a drizzly patch will show up early on and/or a sharp shower in the afternoon.
