Started raining at 6am here, heavy at times, 8mm so far.
Welcome though for the garden, as we have had so little rain, well just a few drizzly days since the last rain (7mm) on 8th May.

Persistent moderate rain, dark and cold. Add a bit of wind in and it’d essentially be November.

Is it wrong to be enjoying the rain?

Not at all. Our garden's enjoying it.

Then maybe a bit of fun for some of us later.

7.9mm in the last 24 hours, all of which has fallen since 06.00 today.  Temperature currently 11.9°C.  Garden soaking it up nicely, glad I don't have to go out.

21.3mm of rain has fallen here so far since 6am.
Its just a little drizzle now, but still looking very grey out.
SE wind has really picked up in last hour, 14-18mph with plenty of 23-26mph gusts.

A nice drop of rain here. However, I noticed that my Davis gauge says 24mm. I checked the manual gauges, and they're both at 16mm, so I had to investigate.. I found a bunch of spiders using the rain tipper as a hammock and a huge network of webs connecting the tipper to the underside of the rain catchers. Needless to say, I handed them an eviction notice.

Temp 13.4°C.

I was wondering why you were so far ahead of me, considering we run the same equipment, and localisation the difference was quite large...

Bet they’ve hardly been disturbed given how dry it’s been.

Much finer rain now - like a heavy drizzle, as the heavier stuff has moved north.

Brighter here now, and a nice gap in the clouds in channel.

☀️?️

Prime heating time to come, lots of water to evaporate, low pressure. Will anything pop off!?

Cloud keeps coming. Sunny spells seem to last about 5 mins max.

Always the case when we seed some **^^#^%^%** ing solar heating to happen !!!!

Not letting this opportunity get away...

Quite a wet morning here, rain began at 6am and stopped just before 11am. Total received was 13.6mm, lower than I was expecting.

Now mostly sunny with a light breeze and temperatures have reached 18.7°C, with a humid feel.

Awaiting whats coming up from the channel now, looks very dark out to sea!

Yes it looks quite dark to the south of here. Cloudier overhead now after an hour or so of sunshine.
