And we have more!  Tail end of another cell just going over.  Never thought I'd be pleased to see rain in June!

I have to say, the models have been very consistent regarding rainfall totals for parts of our region. 20 to 30mm possible on Friday.

The shower above fizzled out, but we did pick a bit of rain from the next one in the line as it moved up from Purbeck.

Oh good, some decent rainfall at last, my plants are in need of some good rainfall to bring them on. I still think looking at the suggested forecast that the forward speed of the two rain fronts, the first with the heavy rain, and the second with more showers (but potentially heavy) is going to be the keep. The speed of transition right now looks relatively quick, but of course the intensity will also determine the amount. I think the commute tomorrow morning is going to be a challenge for some, glad I'm working from home tomorrow. Of course I am talking about my location, others such as Devon & Cornwall could well experience longer periods of rainfall, based on the suggested forecast as the front "arches" forwards..

If the trend of only one properly wet day per month is to continue then tomorrow will be that day.

March ; 89mm including 24mm in one day

April ; 46mm including 29mm in one day

May ; 32mm including 22mm in one day

Still no measurable rain this week, really surprising, but surely that will have to change by tomorrow?! I have to say it will be welcomed. Been a pleasant week for working outside anyway with temps in the high teens. Very comfortable.

If it had not been for the strength of the wind, today would have been a perfect summer's day for me.  Blue skies with some lovely cloudscapes this afternoon, nothing from the towering clouds that Mike mentioned this morning for which I was very grateful as I had a whirly thingee full of washing out!

Yesterday's rainfall total was 3.7mm, most in a day since the middle of May.

I was out in t-shirt and shorts as usual today, it did feel nice when the sun was out in the sunny spells, but when a cloud floats over and the breeze picks up it makes me want to reach for my sweater! Oh well, will be reaching for the rain coat tomorrow, certainly..

Currently 16.7°C

Very much the calm before the storm out there now. Lovely crescent moon and all manner of medium to high level cloud increasing ahead of the storm.

Looks stormy to the south of here, well it did not long ago before it got dark.

Yep.. calm out there, for now. Currently 12.7°C

More rain than wind, MO has gusts maxing out around 30mph tomorrow so that's typical for a breezy day.

Not a bad day today, was fairly cloudy this morning with some impressively looking stormy skies. This cleared at lunchtime as was replaced with sunshine and a few passing clouds, high was 20.6C

Winds now starting to shift E/SEly and slowly picking up ahead of the Biscay storm. Currently 11.2C.
