Looks like as cal said... were all going to be clouded out for a few days at least....this gives us a bit of time to try and find the book 'Dummies guide to SNR radar'

i`ll post the latest sat image later

Meanwhile I would like to share a bit of proud nostalgia with you....5 years ago I managed to livestream a brilliant display  with Brumcam

This is the time-lapse of that livestream

latest AIM sat image for Monday 8th July

current_daisy08-7.thumb.png.875717d983542a3be51fec0f7d0cf966.png

....forecast cloudy imby

Still a fair few NLC`s at mid to low latitudes to catch between the muck

looking at the image theres a big finger, at 4 0`clock, down to 60° latitude....DaveL`s photo stands true to the clockface theory

Some decent NLCs visible from north Cheshire at the moment, look forward to some good pics later. Plenty of good images on Twitter.

.Low altitude NLC`s showing on the German Baltic cams for the last couple of hours.....same latitude as Northern England....awaiting clear skies...(or a thunderstorm) imby

Sounds like a decent display for most of Northern Uk.....as seen by @NL exellent photo`s

It`s good to compare photo`s of the display in relation to the AIM sat images

I would...but i don`t Tweet....I am sure that if anyone who shares any Tweets or Facy images onto the forum....that it would be greatly appreciated by all ( especially by this techno Dino`)

after all 'A picture tells a thousand words'

I`ll post the latest AIM sat image when available

It will be interesting to see how the 4 0`clock area in this image....compares with tomorrows 6 o`clock area..which by the looks of it gave last nights big, high altitude display....in the North

You don't have to tweet to view though, Twitter search right now brings lots of great images from last night, too many to post!

latest AIM sat image for Thursday 11th July...

current_daisy11-7.thumb.png.135d7188759cbcd99a489a17c7bd0d0c.png

The small amount of 'floating' NLC`s around 60° latitude gave Thursdays impressive diaplay in the North

Think I may have witnessed them for the second time this Summer but again not certain! I need the @Arnie Pie seal of approval if you would be so kind!

Much appreciated!

I have three separate pictures - all taken between 22:26 and 22:51.
