Thought I'd start a new thread for Wednesday's chasing, rather than the thread from Monday.

Good advice here, lol:

Did drop a funnel briefly, still wrapping up, a 'big trouble-maker' as the presenter keeps saying!

Apparently there is major to catastrophic damage in downtown Jefferson City, the capital of Missouri, from a tornado that looks to be F4 on lightning-illuminated stills, and from damage reports. Moved SW-NE in the central portion of the city about two hours ago. Also have heard report of three fatalities in Joplin earlier in the day.

It's not looking too good from the twitter reports and images and many area's to the south of the city around the Uni campus are still unreachable due to downed power lines and debris.

@judylthomas Rescue crews continue to respond to calls of people trapped in collapsed buildings two hours after a massive tornado hit Jefferson City. Also numerous reports of gas odors, downed power lines and “walking wounded,” along with broken bones and a possible amputation.

it was a hard stressful chase and at times the flooded roads defeated us. however we caught three tornadoes. The tornadic storms where everywhere, A group of teenagers proved why you need to know what you are doing because the got stuck in a ditch. With a potential tornado, large hail and very deadly lightning barrelling down on us, we were helpless to assist. They were frantic. We couldn't get them in our van. They could only go sit in their car and ride it out. When we got to the town I waved down a cop and told them that three people were stuck in a ditch. We saw three emergency vehicles racing towards them. The tornadoes north of us were very violent and caused fatalities. We stopped in a McDonalds in Pryor. They had used the toilet as a tornado shelter and all the seats were placed in the toilets. We followed the wedge tornado for a long as we could and then after stopping to take lightning shots stayed in Tulsa.

This is the only picture I've managed to transfer from my camera so far. Back lit storm cloud moving over Pryor, OK, at about 11.30pm right at the end of our day before we got to the hotel.

Hey guys,

LOTS of photos to come from yesterday, but Paul and the drivers absolutely nailed this, and some utterly jaw dropping shots of structure and lightning. Even had a breif play in the bears cage, before witnessing multiple tornadoes, including a night time shot of the one below. Looks like a cone tornado to the right with a small satellite tornado to the left? Open to suggestions!

Went on to see a huge wedge tornado after dark, which just missed a town, thank goodness!

PS. The flooding up here is unreal. We saw a truck trailer buried in deep mud yesterday and water which must have been 6 to 10 ft deep in fields all around NE Oklahoma.
